Archetype was the first Marley P. Carroll Symposium on AI and Architecture at UNC Charlotte, conceived as a public forum on generative design, pedagogy, authorship, and professional practice.

The one-day symposium brought together keynote speakers, faculty, students, and professional practitioners. It combined lectures, faculty responses, an AI forum, and a student exhibition.

The event was extended into an approximately 128-page A5 booklet organized around theoretical framing, contemporary practice, and student work, creating a durable institutional record of the symposium.
