This sophomore studio is organized in three stages. First stage, "Digital Matrix" requires students to learn about various modeling tools and function in Rhinoceros to develop formal exercises. These are diagrammed and presented as design matrices that are then used to configure formal compositions. In the second phase, "Massing Configurations" students produce formal compositions using their initial studies. These compositions are revisited in the final stage, "Design Integration" to develop a prototypical house project customized for a client with unique programmatic and spatial requirements.
