Chaos and Balance
The project area is situated in the projection of AKM, which has witnessed social events and cultural activities in Turkish history, and forms an important memory point in modern Turkish history, along with Taksim Square. It describes an important focal point in the urban space that will enable society to connect with art. The starting point for the design of the sculpture is a quest for "balance" that addresses the dynamic relationships between urban/private, society/individual, type/variation through the chaos theory and aims to bring together art and technology.
Art and Society
In contrast to the symbolic and hermeneutic relationships believed to be necessary for urban art to establish a lasting place in the memory of society, the Manifold project emphasizes technology, innovation, and creativity. It aims to interpret the dynamic language of design with current digital tools and bring it together with society through different channels. In this respect, instead of having an abstract, singular, and isolated perception of the sculpture, it is planned for the sculpture to describe different products that can contribute to the institutional identity and revolving capital of AKM and activate urban dynamics. As part of the sculpture's production, a jewelry series has also been designed, including accessories such as earrings, necklaces, rings, brooches, tie pins, and cufflinks, which are proposed to be sold in the design shop within AKM. The diversity and uniqueness that make up the character of society are proposed to be announced with a special collection for AKM and the slogan "own art!" and to bring society together with art through physical and digital platforms.
